KYKLOS 4.0 develops an innovative Circular Manufacturing ecosystem based on novel CPS and AI based technologies

An Advanced Circular and Agile Manufacturing Ecosystem based on rapid reconfigurable manufacturing process and individualized consumer preferences.

The partners of KYKLOS 4.0 are excited to announce the launching of the 4-year project starting on the 1st of January 2020 and ending on the 31st of December 2023. The project is funded under the European Union Programme “H2020-EU.2.1.1. - INDUSTRIAL LEADERSHIP - Leadership in enabling and industrial technologies - Information and Communication Technologies (ICT)”.

KYKLOS 4.0 aims to develop an innovative Circular Manufacturing ecosystem based on novel CPS (Cyber-Physical System) and AI (Artificial Intelligence) based technologies. It will further enhance the industries with novel production mechanisms and algorithms, targeting on personalised products with extended life cycle and promoting energy efficient and low material consumption intra-factory production processes. This will also result to reduced greenhouse gas emissions and air pollutants positively influencing the environmental performance of all industries involved.

Towards these goals 29 partners, TECNALIA among them, from 14 countries are going to cooperate and develop innovative systems applicable to numerous industries utilizing the latest technological breakthroughs and modern frameworks. Seven pilot domains, which cover areas of major importance for the Circular Manufacturing sector in Europe are going to benefit first. A unique characteristic of KYKLOS 4.0 is that all CM related technologies, sectors and stakeholders together with their relevant expertise are covered. Thereby, the delivered outcomes by KYKLOS 4.0 are relevant for the whole manufacturing sector and market in Europe.

This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under Grant agreement No 872570 More Information Jason Mansell Rementeria, ICT, Area TRUSTech.
