RISC - Resilient Critical Infrastructures for Physical and Cyber Security Convergence


Description

RISC is about developing a convergent methodology which links both physical and logical security for Critical Infrastructures. This deliverable presents a work of identification of relevant convergence trends in CI (Critical Infrastructure) arena. These trends will be brought from both academic and industrial (state of practice) sectors – stakeholders focusing in the pan-European scope and particularising some international important convergent trends. RISC is about creating a methodology for converging physical and logical and for doing that we will need to identify and analyse main convergence trends for analysing what these trends are about and how they address future physical and cybersecurity convergence.

Our Role
RISC will develop a methodology based on the NISTIR guide for securing critical infrastructures for linking both Physical and Logical security worlds. For this the methodology will start at identifying risks (probability * threat * vulnerability = consequences) in transport and smartgrid scenarios. This will cause to develop a security case where we will have to validate and verify all security requirements gathered from risks analysis. RISC will provide a holistic security model that will be proven in real scenarios and our aim is to industrialise it within industrial field
